For more than a decade, Lauren Wojtalewski helped major brands translate shopper insights into engaging retail experiences as a designer at 10 Red Design. Her work focused on guiding customers through the retail environment — turning strategy into displays, signage, and visual systems that made products easier to discover and understand.
Retail design taught her something that still drives her work today: design is most powerful when it helps people make decisions.
After stepping away from her full-time role to raise her son, Lauren continued working creatively through freelance design, photography, and personal projects. Later, she returned to school to pursue a master’s degree in strategic communications — expanding her understanding of brand strategy, messaging, and audience insight.
Today she combines that strategic perspective with my background in graphic design to create work that is both thoughtful and effective.
She is especially energized by the early stages of a project—digging into research, uncovering insights, and turning those discoveries into visual ideas that resonate with the right audience.
In 2017 her husband was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. During his three-year battle with cancer, she became his full-time caregiver while raising their young son.
After his passing in 2020, she rebuilt life as a widow and single parent. That experience reshaped how she sees the world—and how she approaches creative work.
It strengthened her resilience, sharpened her empathy, and reinforced something she always believed: the work we create matters because the people we create it for matter.
Today she is excited to return to full-time creative work where she can combine strategy, storytelling, and design to build meaningful brand experiences.
When she’s not designing, you’ll probably find her:
Crocheting new garment patterns
Photographing everyday moments
Digitally painting on my iPad
Spending time with my fiancé, our blended family and two very enthusiastic dogs in the Syracuse area.
Lauren is always drawn to teams that value thoughtful strategy, strong design, and a little curiosity along the way. If that sounds like your kind of creative environment, I’d love to connect.
