Craft persuasive messages for 3 campaign design elements to support the election campaign of Miranda Suarez for the Zionsville, IN city council. This assignment marks the conclusion of COM 642 Persuasive Communication, a crucial course within my MS in Communications program at Purdue University.

Utilizing my recently acquired expertise in persuasive writing, my task was to create strategic messages and develop corresponding campaign materials aimed at informing and persuading the residents of Zionsville, IN to vote for Miranda Suarez for town council.

An insightful candidate interview was conducted to gain deeper insight into Miranda Suarez's vision and objectives should she be elected to the town council. Upon review, I identified three key communication pieces that would be most effective for her campaign: a campaign website landing page to bolster her credibility, Facebook posts emphasizing Miranda's dedication to resource responsibility, and a direct mail piece to engage a broader spectrum of voters.
I employed social credibility, rational appeals, and fear appeal as my persuasive strategies for each of the communication pieces. These strategies enhance the likelihood of influencing the behavior of the target audience to achieve our objective, which is to secure votes for Miranda Suarez in the Zionsville, IN town council election. I was awarded an A+ for this assignment.
