The Task: 

Create a distinctive brand identity and website for a charming bed & breakfast nestled in the lakeside village of Canandaigua, NY, known as The Cardinal Inn. Elevate this B&B to stand out amidst the allure of this sought-after vacation destination.

My Role: 

Develop a comprehensive brand identity encompassing logo, typography, and color palette, along with a user-friendly website. The website should feature photos showcasing both the exterior and interior of the bed & breakfast, provide room booking functionality, and offer insights into the attractions of Canandaigua.

The Process: 

The initial phase involved researching competitors to identify points of parity and points of differentiation. Following this, I developed a comprehensive brand identity, including a logo, typography, and color palette. Additionally, I captured photographs of both the exterior and interior rooms of the inn for integration into the website. Utilizing wireframing techniques, I designed the website layout and content to ensure optimal usability for the audience. Once the final design was approved, the website proceeded to the development stage.

The Outcome:

The website currently boasts a favorable ranking in terms of site health. I am confident that it has successfully met the objectives of serving as a platform for clients to book rooms and explore the offerings of Canandaigua. Nevertheless, there is room for improvement in driving traffic to the website, and this can be achieved by the client's active utilization of social media channels.
